The Zimbabwe Women’s Network-UK (ZIWNUK) was set up in June 2003 to focus on the issues concerning the rights and welfare of Zimbabwean women refugees, asylum seekers, students and migrant workers and their families living in London, as they face challenges in the process of settlement and of integrating into the UK community. We are a group with energy and resourcefulness working to contribute towards gender equality
Our Vision-
To facilitate the full integration and re-settlement of Zimbabwean women and their families and to promote cultural identity, independent living and positive images of Zimbabwean women in the UK.
To create an organisation that nurtures and draws strength from its Zimbabwean women and works with their cultural experiences and values and to be committed to each other through transparency, fairness and integrity.
To promote the welfare of children within the Zimbabwean community by promoting the positive upbringing of such children by their families and by linking families with a range of services appropriate to meet children’s needs.
To ensure that Zimbabwean children can thrive in the UK and fulfil their potential as citizens throughout their lives.
